Bible Question:
What did God mean in: Luke 12.32,16.12 |
Bible Answer: Greetings Papibear, Luke 12:32 "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." (ESV) Luke 16:12 "And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?" (ESV) When you ask "What did God mean in..", and I attempt to provide an Answer to this Question, I do not dare to presume that I know what God meant in the verses that you specified, but I can give you some help as to what I think about the verses that you are asking about. In Luke 12:32, I see two things to focus on: little flock, and 'give you the kingdom.' To study these two in more depth, I suggest looking at related scripture verses. As for little flock, please consult Isaiah 40:11, Matthew 26:31, John 10:16, 21:15-17, Acts 20:28-29, and 1 Peter 5:2-3. As for the kingdom, please consult Luke 22:29 and Matthew 13:19. In Luke 16:12, I see one thing: not being faithful in that which is another's (or God's possessions). Since the context (Jesus is speaking) is speaking of God's possessions, three scripture verses that can add some meaning to this verse are: 1 Chronicles 29:14,16 and Luke 16:9. If you were looking for an Answer that was more precise, then I suggest that you be a little more specific. I hope that this helps! Blessings to you, Makarios |
