Bible Question: I want to pray like others do. I don't know how to pray. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Matt 6:5-15, Luke 11:1-4 ... Greetings nrramos, First, don't try to copy anyone else. You need to pray to our Father in your own way. Each child talks to their earthly father in a different way. Second, these two passages give us an example of how to pray. Do not repeat the words, for they can become meaningless. So when you pray, think of how God is your Father and what it means ... let Him know. Know that He is in heaven and in your heart. Understand that He is holy and well as His name. Go thru the Model Prayer and build on it ... keep a journal, including how He has answered prayer ... keep on thanking Him for how He answered prayer (yes - no - or wait). I have answered this type of question before. Use Search on the left side of the screen type in my name and prayer. Praying is paramount, Searcher |
