Bible Question: Why does Jesus instruct his followers not to greet anyone on the road? Isn't this advice rather unlike the "Good Samaritan" story? What does this mean for the mission of the 72, or our mission today? |
Bible Answer: Dear JRM, According to the Mishnah, a Jew was to extend greeting or salutation to other Jews they met along the road. Apparently Christ is delineating for them a distinctive behavior.
