Bible Question: the samaritan man gave a lot on behalf of this man sripped by the robbers, what are the things he gave of himself? |
Bible Answer: God's day to you, kingsgal, He first got off his donkey and into the ditch ... while the Levite and priest couldn't get off (the rear of) their high horse ... doesn't say that in the Bible, but that is part of the point. John 4:9 says their were issues with the Jews toward the Samaritans ... and the reverse may may been true, too. Methinks, the Samaritan was a doctor ... because the Holy Spirit inspired only Dr. Luke to write this and he bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them and took care of him at the inn (vs 34). He did give up his beast, so he walked and paid the innkeeper ... he may have ... gone out of his way ... spend an extra night away from home. Searcher |
