Bible Question: What are some key verses in the Bible regardin women with hope? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Melca73! I believe that no study of Bible verses that mention women having hope would be entirely complete without mentioning 'The Magnificat' of Luke 1:46-55. This entirely beautiful exclamation of Mary shows perhaps the foremost example of hope given by a woman in Scripture. Closely followed by that are: The strength and encouragement of Ruth - Ruth 1:16-17 The strength and foresight of Queen Esther - Esther 4:12-17 The Lord blesses the offspring of and changes the name of a woman - Genesis 17:15-16 The joy of answered prayer - 1 Samuel 1:26-2:10 A woman filled with the Holy Spirit - Luke 1:41-45 The leadership of Deborah - Judges 4:4-5:31 Miriam's song of praise - Exodus 15:21 A prophetess counsels the King - 2 Chronicles 34:22-28 Many women announce the news of Christ - Psalm 68:11 Successful testimony of a woman - John 4:39-42 Christian Women - Acts 16:13-15, 17:4,12, 21:9, Romans 16:1-5 I hope that the verses above provide a good start towards an indepth study for women in the Bible who praised their Lord and had hope! Blessings to you, Makarios |
