Subject: Can God free us of the weight of sin |
Bible Note: Thanks for the response lionheart. I have recently broken off a relationship in which I committed sexual sin. There was no intercourse; I have admitted my sin before the men of my church and have repented sincerely. It kills me that I hurt the girl I was with, and still care about more than anyone else in the world. My question is whether God can free us of the sin in a relationship and allow us to continue in that relationship provided that we condemn our sin and rely on His strength to keep us pure. The brothers of my church believe that our relationship cannot be allowed to continue, as it will always be tainted and always remind us of our sinful past. Can God give us a second chance in this relationship? |
