Bible Question: in mark 7:27-30 it is talking about letting children eat all they want before you throw their bread crumbs to the dogs. and how the dogs under the table will eat the children's crumbs. can someone explain to me what they think the children, the dog, and the bread mean. thank you. |
Bible Answer: lilroxysiso9, The children are the children of Israel. The dogs are the Gentiles. Israel has the first claim to the blessings of the New Covenant ( Matthew 15:24; Romans 1:16; 9:4-5). Only after the Resurrection of Jesus was the gospel to be proclaimed systematically to the Gentiles (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). Emmaus |
