Subject: Why did Jesus call this woman a dog? |
Bible Note: Thank you for your insight and diligence in seeking out the truth. This scripture was made known to me on a street corner in Washington, DC as a man preached that Jesus is black. He went on to tell the many passers by that Jesus is not a saviour to whites, but only blacks. He used this scripture to "show me" what Jesus thought of the white woman. I knew in my heart that he was taking this scripture out of context, but I could not defend my faith. I was both grieved at my lack of biblical knowledge and at the fact that scripture was being so grossly perverted in front of many who seem to be hungry for more information about this so-called Jesus. The experience shook me to my core and was a real wake up call to the spiritual battles that go on in our culture and around the world. I really do appreciate the time you took to respond.
