Bible Question: I've been studying on what is clean and unclean to eat. Does it say anywhere in the new testament that our Father made unclean foods clean? |
Bible Answer: Hello gixer44, I am glad to hear you are studying the subject, However, the words "unclean", and "food", are not related to each other in OT or NT scripture. No unclean animal was ever classified as being for food, they would make you unclean even if you touched them. However the clean animals were classified as being for food to eat. To answer your question, No, It is nowhere in the NT that God made unclean animals clean for the purpose of food. I used to eat those things, I repented, (It's disgusting to me now that I think about it, I didn't know any better),until I learned that we as Christians should not practice lawlessness (sin). We should desire to do His will. He made all animals for a purpose, it was not for the unclean to be used for food. If God changed how could you follow Him or do His will, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Heb.13:8 The answer to understanding this subject is found in Ezekiel 22:25-26. wordoer |
