AMPLIFIED 2015 | Mark 4:39 And He got up and [sternly] rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Hush, be still (muzzled)!" And the wind died down [as if it had grown weary] and there was [at once] a great calm [a perfect peacefulness]. |
Bible Question: what is meant by the phrase"peace be still"? does this mean to keep your peace because God has given you grace in a matter? |
Bible Answer: Ps 23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet (still, peaceful) waters. God is in command and can still the troubled waters in our lives even as he stilled the troubled waters on the Sea of Galilee which were frightening the apostles. |
