Bible Question: I am not sure what the Bible says about asking other for forgiveness. I know that we must repent and ask the Lord for forgiveness but what if the sin affects another. If one is to comitt adultery and her spouse doesn't know but she has repented of it before the Lord, What is he responsibility to her partner? Does she need to tell him and then ask for his forgiveness as well? |
Bible Answer: Greetings again, In Need! The reason that the wife must ask her husband for forgiveness is this... 1) She broke her relationship with God by committing adultery. 2) She broke her relationship with her husband by committing adultery. The Remedy... A) She needs to repent and ask forgiveness from God to restore her relationship with God. B) She needs to ask her husband for forgiveness to restore her relationship with her husband. - Nolan |
