AMPLIFIED 2015 | Mark 4:12 so that THEY WILL CONTINUALLY LOOK BUT NOT SEE, AND THEY WILL CONTINUALLY HEAR BUT NOT UNDERSTAND, OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT TURN [from their rejection of the truth] AND BE FORGIVEN." [Is 6:9, 10; Matt 13:11-15] |
Bible Question: In 2 Thessalonians Ch2 V11 God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie. Why do you think God does that? Also does that make you more dtermined to do what you know what is right rather than dabble in wrong doing? |
Bible Answer: Hello John, Tough question, but I think Doc summed it up pretty well. God is in control of what happens. Notice in verse 13 that God chose them from the beginning and in verse 14 that He called them to obtain the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Also, notice the same instance as Mark 4:12 and Matt 13:10-17 is retold in each Gospel: Luke 8:9-10 John 12:37-41 This is sometimes difficult for us to understand in comparison with a most Loving Father. However, He most certainly is both Sovereign and Loving. Nick |
