Bible Question:
What can we say about the Spirit of Christ or the Spirit of Jesus? I was comparing Mark 2:7,8 with 1 Corinthians 2:10,11. I was comparing the words but seeing also a contrast in Persons of the triune God. It seemed to make more sense to me to have a capital Spirit for Mark 2:8 when comparing the verses. Does anyone see what I am thinking? Any comments? From the heart, Ray |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Matt 27:50 (John 19:30); Mark 8:12; John 13:21; 1 The 5:23 ... Ray, God's day to you, 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says we are spirit, soul and body. The spirit governs the soul, like the wind does to nature (or a governer on a engine). Our soul is our moral being, inner self. Our body is our phyiscal self, stays on earth at death. Yes, it will be reunited, as you said. Christ is no different, In the cited verses we see that He has a spirit (had one when in the flesh), which is not the Holy Spirit. Did I answer your question?
