Bible Question: Who is "Father God"? Where is he metioned in scripture? If this is not a name of God, then what is the affect of its use in prayer, church, etc. Please also see "Dagda, Dahgdha, The Father God" that are not in the Bible; and, "Father God" (the book) by Silvia Brown. |
Bible Answer: Hi Rich, God most certainly is our father, that is if you are a child of God, if not then He most certainly (my) father. When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He said when you pray say our [Father] who art in heaven, ect. And He also said we can call out to Him, Abba Father, Jesus Himself calls out to Him in the gardin of sorrows. Mark 14:36 And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will." thats like saying Daddy Father or Papa just like a child would do with his or her earthly father. As far as your references to the other names they have nothing to do with God the Father in Heaven Creator of Heaven and Eirth. dagdadahgdha... whatever, is an Irish mith, and the other is..... well I don't really know what it is to tell the truth and I'm not sure I care, I've heard that its some kind of father/mother god thing. |
