Bible Question: Why do you think that Jesus, only took Peter, James, and John when he went to pray in Mark 14:33? Hope you understand my question. :) |
Bible Answer: Hi, Maria... Welcome to the forum! Why questions are always the hardest ones! These three disciples were frequently attendant to the Lord while others were not. We are not made privy to His reasons. However, three was an excellent number as witnesses (Deuteronomy 17:6). Christianity is not about mystical feelings or supernatural experiences. It is rooted in actual historical events. This history forms the foundation of the teachings of Christ and the apostles. No doubt their witnessing these events were essential to that basis on which His church was to be built. In Him, Doc |
