Bible Question: Is it possible that the 'end of time' discussed in the Bible by Jesus, simply refers to a person's death? No one knows the time and hour of his/her death. |
Bible Answer: Chynna, our Lord in this passage is clearly speaking of His second coming, not of human death. "That day" in Mark 13:32 is an Old Testament expression for the day of the appearance of the Lord (see Amos 8:3,9,13 and 9:11; Mic.4:6, 5:10, 7:11). Look back at v.26: "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with power and great glory." This is a reference to Christ's second coming. (See also Mark 8:38; 2 Thess.1:6-10; Rev.19:11-16). --Hank |
