Bible Note: Emmaus - also for your consideration, Jesus may have cursed the fig tree because Adam and Eve used its leaves to try to hide their sin (Gen 3:7). Denial of sin will lead to destruction - but recognition and repentance leads to life (and the "fruit" of the Spirit - figs!). I suspect that many folks these days are still looking for fig trees . . . rather than to Calvary's tree. Blessings, mommapbs |
