Subject: Marriage, why is so importtant to us?

Bible Note: I don't know if I am off base with my comment here, but your question was simply, "Why is marraige so important?"
I say it isn't that marraige is important.
Marraige is God's blessing upon a Man and a Woman who long to be together.
Paul wasn't married and he said in 1 Corinthians 7:8 that for you to work for God it would be good if you could be like him and be single.
1 Corinthians 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

* He is saying, "You won't have that extra stuff to worry about like; Husband/Wife/Kids/sickness in family/etc.....
He doesn't say it is bad to marry, just that you could focus so much more of yourself to God if you weren't married.

Paul also says, in verse 9, if you can't control yourself then get married.
1 Corinthians 7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

* Here he is stating that if you want to be with someone, and they you, it is better to go ahead and marry.
