Bible Question: Has anyone explained these verses? We would like to know. Mahalo (thank you) |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Mat 19:16-30, Mar 10:17-31, Luk 18:18-30 ... God's alaho to you, kamschoolgrad, You grad Kam. I grad Kailua (1969), go UH. The context of this verse is the Rich Young Ruler who was asked to give the money he had. Peter said that he and the other 11 gave up all they had. Jesus replied that their reward would be 100x what they gave up plus eternal life. The later is more important. It would be impossible to have 100 mothers or fathers ... so it is not literal. I think the point is seeking His kingdom first and His righteousness and everything will be added to you (Mat 6:33). Searcher |
