Subject: Should we use Religious titles here? |
Bible Note: Hank: I think we have somehow been taught to respect those who have EARNED and lived the title of some degrees. But education does not equate always with wisdom. Just as quiet person does not mean a deep thinker. In most Christian magizines the add section is filled with bought degrees and ordainations. In the Forum there is the protection, if that's the word I am looking for, that allows us not to prove to all of Christendom how little we know, or how theologicaly messed up we are. I see some really deep thought go into some of the answers, and I grow by reading and learning ideas I had not heard or thought of. You have EARNED respect by the notes you make, and your use of Scripture. Somehow that kind of respect is more meaningfull if not insisted upon others by demand in your title before your pen name. I recently heard a taped message given by Bill Bright just before his passing. Bill refered to God as Holy Father. That struck me as genuine humbleness. I felt I needed to learn a lesson from his example. Blessings. justme |
