Bible Question: What are the Bible verses giving instructions on how to listen to God? |
Bible Answer: Greetings vildan and welcome to the forum, The first way to learn to hear God is to pray. "Make me to know your ways O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all day long" (Psalm 25:4-5). Ask Him to let you hear Him. "Whatever you ask me I will give you up to half of my kingdom" (Mark 6:23). "Whatever you ask of God, God will give you" (John 11:22). Then listen. He will speak to you in a quiet voice. The story of Elijah teaches us that God speaks more frequently in whispers than in shouts. God also uses others to speak to you. It might be through a person who you are having a conversation with, or through the radio or TV. Hope this helps. prayon |
