Bible Question: In this verse, what are we asking, seeking and knocking for? Is it the Kingdom, is it blessings, is it Spiritual Eyes, which enables us to see our relationship with God from a Spiritual perspective? Secondly how can the application be made to enable one to take this verse literally? |
Bible Answer: I think the verses following this are important to read also. Jesus is explaining how your father in heaven would give unto His children. I think the important words in this verse to look at is "it". "Ask and it, Seek and you will find, Knock and it will be opened. . ." Another verse would be "Give and "it" shall be given unto you." Well what is "it"? "It" is that need you have. |
