AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 7:11 "If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him. |
Bible Question: IS IT WRONG TO PRAY ABOUT A JOB? OR IS IT CORRECT JUST TO ASK THE LORD AND WAIT UPON HIM TO DIRECT YOU. I'M CONFUSED???? |
Bible Answer: Matthew 7:11, "...how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him." Matthew 6:7-8, "When you pray don't babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answers only be repeating their words again and again. Don't be like them, because your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!" I think it is alright for you to pray about a job. However, don't pray and do nothing about the situation. God may not direct you in the way he did, say, Moses, whom he spoke to face-to-face (Exodus 33:11). So, pray about the situation and do something about it, if you can. |
