Bible Question: Where is it written regarding that prayers should come from the heart and not recitations or repetitions of prayers - New Testament, one of the Gospels, not Paul's writings |
Bible Answer: Mat 6:7 "And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. The problem with a prayer that would fall in the "vain repetitions" classification would not be the repetitions, as Jesus even prayed prayers that repeated themselves (Mat_26:39; Mat_26:42; Mat_26:44). The problem would be in the “vain” part. Prayers that were all mouth, and no mind and heart. God answers prayer! retxar |
