Bible Answer: This is the definition: strict conformity to the letter of the law rather than its spirit. Some say that confessing to a priest is a modern practice of legalism. Jesus atoned for our sin, and confessing to a priest shouldn't be necessary. Whenever someone leaves confession and hurts more than before they saw a priest, legalism has occured. |
