Bible Question: if sabbath saturday change to sunday. than what matt.5-18 is stating? and did God change this? |
Bible Answer: I'm going to tie this answer to Matthew 5:18, because that is where your question comes from. I'm not sure that's where the answer lies. I admit that for the Jew, to whom the Mosaic Law was given, the Sabbath (Saturday) may not have changed. I, however, am not a Jew. It seems, that we need to look at Acts 15:20 to get an understanding of the law and Gentile believers (i.e., most of the church). Note that Sabbath-keeping was not one of the restrictions. Elsewhere, we read that we are not justified by keeping the Law, but by faith. Romans 3:19-31 What is one day over another? Colossians 2:16-17 Is not the Son of Man the Lord of the Sabbath? Mark 2:23-28? |
