Bible Question (short): christians being persecuted |
Question (full): My husband and i are christians and have 3 kids.My in-laws are not. We have been witnessing to them for 3 years now and so does other family members that are christians. they continue to persecute us with hurtful ways. My husband and I forgive with a contrite heart and handed them completely over to jesus but we dread to be in their presents and avoid it. Is that wrong as a christian? Keeping in mind that they seem to pull us down quicker than we can pick them up. I have heard before and was told by a pastor if your being brought down and hurt or even angered beware that now YOUR sinning against god and YOU are the christian and witness, so avoid them until you can deal with it again. bacause I have to as a christian stand right before god. So my question is where in the bible does it say something along these matters. I'm sure I have heard Dr. Charles Stanley speak about it in the bible. I've been looking for it but have no luck. Please help me thanks linda |
