Is the sea ALWAYS a symbol of the world? That is when we see the word sea (yam in Hebrew, thalassa in Greek) - does it symbolize the world. We read "the fish of the sea" (Gen 1:26) ... "And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea" (Num 11:31).

As Doc has pointed out, there is error in symbolism.
