Bible Question: Why did Jesus permit John to baptize Him in John's baptism of repentance if Jesus Himself knew no sin? |
Bible Answer: Perhapps since Christ wantd us to follow him, he was setting an example, he never asked us to do anything that he wasn't willing to do himself, I suppose it could also be an allagory to the baptism of the Holy Spirit John 1:33. The father had told John to baptize with water, John 1:33. So Jesus was just obeying what the father had told John to do.
