Bible Question: Need scriptural understanding of how God's presence in us increases and decreases. |
Bible Answer: "and, lo, I am with you alway... ...even unto the end of the world" Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. John 3:34b J.P. Green's Literal Translation ...for God does not give the Spirit by measure. John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Heb 13:5b for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. In the military, when roll call was held, I was either present or not present. My presence at roll call did not increase or decrease by increments. Either I was there or I was not there. So it is with God. Rather than seeking the experience of God's presence, we ought to be aware of the reality of it. |
