Bible Question: Where in the Bible does it talk about after we are saved and God has wiped the slate clean it is sin for us to remain in guilt and unforgiveness of ourselves? This keeps us in bondage to satan. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Working... Welcome to the forum! A failure to "forgive ourselves" and similar attitudes arises out of a failure to understand the truth of the Gospel. The Gospel really is GOOD NEWS! All sin is against God (Psalm 51:4). He, alone, can grant forgiveness (Isaiah 43:25). He does so by imputing the sin of His elect to Christ and imputing the righteousness of Christ to His elect (Philippians 3:9). Thus, we praise Him for this (2 Corinthians 9:15). In Him, Doc |
