Bible Question:
My ex-wife and I have become re-engaged, Is it considered adultery to have relations before the wedding? 1 Cor. 7:10 ; Mark 10:9 ; Mal. 2:16 |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Deu 24:1-4, 1 Cor 8:9-13,1 The 5:22 ... Timothy Paul, greetings and welcome to the forum, This would be something you should ask you pastor, since this really is not a counselling center. Let me add to Cheryl's excellent post. She is right - it is up to you. The Bible does say if after the divorce, you married another, you may not remarry the first (Deu 24:1-4). But, I presume that is not the case. How would this appear to the world or the church? Would anyone think it appears to be evil? Then avoid it (1 The 5:22). Could it cause a Christian to sin? Then avoid it (1 Cor 8:9-13). Hope this helps, Searcher |
