Bible Question:
How do I respond to a Chrisitan who has severely offended my mom, and then quickly asked for forgiveness was told he was forgiven however, my mom is still hurt, and now he just wants us to completely forget it happened, and recites scripture of forgiveness and how he has already been forgiven and we are wrong. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Matt 5:23-24 (21-26), Matt 18:15-22 (1-35) ... God's day to you, Milen, I believe the person followed Matthew 5:23-24, the context is verses 21-26. Your mom being still hurt and the fogeting issue, is something that needs to be dealt with by wise Christian counsel. Even if one was qualified here, it would be unwise ... it needs to face-to-face. The forgiveness issue also is in Matthew 18:15-22, with the context of the whole chapter. It is good that this was resolved at the first level. My prayer is that there is the peace of God established between all. Searcher |
