Bible Question: Does each person have a guardian angel? Is there any scripture verse saying or speaking on this subject or is this one of those sayings I just think is in the bible but isn't. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Genesis 21:17, Exodus 23:20-23, Psalm 91:10-12, Matthew 18:10 ... God's day to you, God's-elect, The Cathlolic church says yes, http://www.catholic.org/saints/angel.php ... but I disagree. It is angels in the plural. The same is true in Matthew 18:10 ... http://www.gotquestions.org/guardian-angels.html ... this site gives a good view. Genesis 21:17 maybe about a guardian angel for Hagar and Ishmael. Exodus 23:20-23 shows an angel watching over Israrel. There are more examples of angels who guard people. Also enter guardian angel under Search to see other posts. But, nowhere in the Bible are we to call on any angel for help. Searcher |
