AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 16:19 "I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven." [Is 22:22; Matt 18:18] |
Subject: Binding and Loosing. What is it? |
Bible Note: I do not understand your question. But I see something here about a person being given over to satan for the destruction of the flesh becuase he is not willing to repent. It is a spiritual subject. I see it as a spiritual matter. Not a mere outward governmental matter of certain ecclesiastical rules and regulations but the context in Matt 16 reveals that Jesus is talking about divine revelation, or "you did not get this from man but my Father in heaven revealed it to you" and so in Matt 18 it seems as though the same subject is being dealt with which is that if you send out the unrepentant man from the midst, there are certain spiritual forces that will be allowed to affect him. It is a mystery but I think that is what I am seeing. |
