Bible Question:
Based on the thought that I capitalize "Man" when the verses are talking about Jesus (no matter what the individual belief was at the time); should I for the sake of consistency capitalize "Ghost" here? What would be arguments against the capitalization? |
Bible Answer: hello Ray...I am just wondering if when they saw the "ghost"if it was as in the glory of God and thats what gave them the fear or if they thought of the ghost as someone they knew nothing about...if it is the latter of the two then I would not capitalize...and the way the scripture reads I do not think that they relized that it was Jesus at the time... in the KJV it says they were troubled, saying,it is a spirit, and they cried out for fear...leaving me to think that they did not know what kind of a spirit it was at the time...for this reason I would not capitalize...now if they knew the ghost or spirit was Jesus I would capitalize...just my opinion...God Bless |
