AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 13:52 He said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things that are new and fresh and things that are old and familiar." |
Subject: Scribe that brings out both old and new |
Bible Note: Thank you. This scribe / teacher and interpreter of the Sacred Writings (Amplified Bible) made me think of Paul. He knew the scriptures but he later found the Messiah. And of Apollos (Acts 18:24-28). Since they knew the one true Way, they had a treasure. The old teachings could now lead them to the Messiah. |
