Bible Question: Shalom brothers and sisters, can somebody give me some verses for a friend of mine that feels tormented by demons when he is sleeping? I would really appreciate any help, and so would my friend. God bless, michael. |
Bible Answer: Dear Michael, Perhaps I should have written more than just the question. My concern is that I've rarely seen a focus on the symptoms genuinely resolve the problem. Something, I believe, Christ was speaking about in this passage in Matthew. Usually the issue is that a person is still trying to negotiate his relationship with the Lord, rather than coming to Him in full submission. Even if the problem -- regardless of its actual cause -- is resolved, what good will that be if he is not in right standing with the Lord. I strongly believe that only the solution we have to offer people is the Gospel. That is, alone, the solution for this fellow's problem -- both in the short and long term. The Gospel alone defeats the enemy. The Gospel alone is our source of comfort. The Gospel alone is our only hope. In Him, Doc http://marks.9marks.org/Mark4 |
