Bible Question:
Jesus is God of love. So, what does His behavior of this verse mean? (1) Jesus loved them in heart, but not in word, invoking them to repent. So, His harsh word was an expression of true love. (2) In fact, Jesus couldn't love them because they were evil. Only those who are evil do not get God's love. (3) Other (specify please) |
Bible Answer: Dear 0012, It is an error to judge the Lord by what He does... rather we judge what He does by who He is. Furthermore, all of His attributes are in perfect harmony. He is a God of love, but He is also a God of wrath, and a God of righteousness. Consequently, His wrath is loving, His love is wrathful, His wrath is righteous, His righteousness is loving, etc. etc. Finally, how could rendering the truth perfectly, be anything but loving?
