Bible Question: why did the pharisees condemn jesus for healing a man with a shrivled hand? |
Bible Answer: As stated in the book of Matthew, because the pharisees wanted to catch Him doing wrong against the Law, in this case doing good on the Sabbath. But His answers always disproved thier claims against Him. "What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay holdof it and lift it out? Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath." Then He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." Andhe stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other.' Matthew 12:11-13 |
