Bible Question:
I use the "Life Application Study Bible" copyright 2000 exclusively in teaching my adult class. I have a question after reading the Special Feature on the introductory page to Joshua, page 834. "Out of over a million people, Joshua and Caleb were the only two who left Egypt and entered the promised land". Numbers 14:29 indicates that those aged nineteen and younger at the time of the crossing of the Red Sea will enter Cannan. I assume that those who are older than nineteen and did not grumble would also enter Cannan. Please explain so I can explain to my class. Thanks, George |
Bible Answer: Greetings Petals! Based on Num. 26:65, I would say that no one over the age of 20, except Joshua and Caleb entered the promised land. Num 26:65 For the LORD had told those Israelites they would surely die in the desert, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun. I hope this helps!
