AMPLIFIED 2015 | Malachi 3:10 "Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessing until there is no more room to receive it. Bible Question: what does god mean when he says he will open the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it |
Bible Answer: Hi, Tyree... This means to open the flood gates, to hold nothing back. It may be, in the context of the book itself, that it refers to God bringing the rain which He had withheld. It could also be speaking prophetically, as Albert Barnes suggests, citing Romans 5:5. Given my druthers, I would tend to the former interpretation. In Him, Doc |
