Subject: Is Grace Still Amazing to Us? |
Bible Note: Hi, refump... We are skilled at crafting idols, loving the things of this world more than the things of the next. By neglecting the Word of God, we become desensitized to our spiritual starvation. In our thinking we magnify ourselves, and diminish God. We surround ourselves with worldly people, to validate and conventionalize our fleshly choices. We pursue diversion, to assuage our conscience. We conveniently forget that a hard heart is not an experience, but a sin. The solution is to call out to God, confess this sin, and ask Him to pierce your hardened heart. You understand that you cannot change your own heart, but He can and will do this work (James 4:8-9). Be prepared, however, to be caught unprepared! When He does this thing, He will do it in such a way as to make it clear that it is His doing alone. In Him, Doc |
