Bible Question: Why did the animals have to suffer? |
Bible Answer: I like Hank's answer! :-) Semitic peoples do not think like Westerners. They do not see the world as we do. They do not mourn as we do. Even today we misunderstand them continually. I have heard it taught that it was thought by the Ninevites that the crying of the animals in their suffering would add ot the volume of their own cries, possibly disuading God from His intended purpose. Too bad that 100 years later they were worse than ever. :-( |
