Bible Question: I heard a sermon last night that I don't totally agree with. Therefore, I am seeking wise counsel in this matter. It was said that since we have the Holy Spirit living within us at all times it is unnecessary/wrong/inappropriate to ever ask for the presence of God to fill, say, a sanctuary for a time of worship since He is already there. Any thoughts pro or con would be most appreciated. I just want to know the truth. Blessings, Verne |
Bible Answer: Hi and God bless you verne. I agree with you and it looks like you spirit does too. For you do not have any peace about it. In psalms 140:13 it reads... Surely the godly are praising your name, for the WILL live in your PRESENCE. What I understand from that scrpiture is the godly are praising Him and they WILL live in His PRESENCE, so that are not living in His presence yet. There are time at home when I feel the Ruach the wind or breathe of God, but not all the time. The presence that we need to get to is not where most of us are at the moment, which is the out court, not just the inner court, but the HOLY OF HOLY's. |
