Bible Question:
OK, then it is fair to say that the moral aspects of the Law still reflect the will of God on such matters. So then is there a good NT reference that expresses this idea? |
Bible Answer: Howdy. May I express my view on this? I know of no such reference. The dividing of the law into it's three components is unbiblical, and was not done, from what I understand, until the Roman Church. It is always expressed as a unit: the Law. One can not even accurately draw a line between the components within the law itself. I believe that you are leading yourself down a very confusing pathway. It is much safer to just take Romans 5-6 for what it says (and Galatians, Heb 8, etc. also). then build another Covenant understanding from the New Testament. Both covenants are built upon the same foundation: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself. From that point, they diverge. Best to you. rzacc |
