Bible Question: What is the separation? Must the wife live in separate quarters, and only with her nursing infant? |
Bible Answer: This is speaking of the female menstral period. According to the Hebrew beliefs, this was a period when the woman was concidered impure. As such, for someone, particularly a Man, was for them to be concidered unclean until they fulfilled whatever was required to be concidered clean. During this period, the woman would often live/sleep in a separate room in order to prevent her husband or others to become unclean. Quvmoh |
