Bible Question: In Matthew 8, the healed leper was told by Jesus to offer the appropriate cleansing sacrifice. What would have happened if he was not able to purchase the required animals (lamb, bird, etc.)? Was there any provision for those who were so totally destitue that they could not purchase/buy the required animals? Did the priests have any charity/welfre system established to help in such cases? |
