We have to be particularly careful about overextending an analogy. When the Scripture is explicit that there is an analogy being presented -- as in Hosea -- then we should be diligent to understand what is being presented in just that way. What we want to do is to carefully understand the scriptures in the context in which they were written. Nothing in Scripture, ever means anything other than what it was originally intended to mean.
