NASB Hosea 10:12 Sow with a view to righteousness,
Reap in accordance with kindness;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the LORD
Until He comes to rain righteousness on you.
AMPLIFIED 2015 Hosea 10:12 Sow with a view to righteousness [that righteousness, like seed, may germinate];
Reap in accordance with mercy and lovingkindness.
Break up your uncultivated ground,
For it is time to seek and search diligently for the LORD [and to long for His blessing]
Until He comes to rain righteousness and His gift of salvation on you. [2 Cor 9:10]

Bible Question:  Fellow saints, What does it mean to 'break up our fallow ground?' Assuming, of course, that this verse applies to us now. What is the rain?

In Jesus, charis

Bible Answer:  Fallow ground refers to land that is unproductive...not yeilding fruit. He is saying to do all things with Christ in mind and strive toward salvation.
Rain is used figuratively. Like "showers of blessings". He will pour out His righteousness on those who seek Him and do His work.
